walk around and look at which napkin dispenser is most used in 63's. If certain locations of the dispensers are more used than others. Is it needed to have multiple dispensers. Data:

Dispenser 1: The total napkins taken from dispenser 1 was 61 napkins, and had an average of 2.9 per person.

Dispenser 2: Dispenser 2 had a total of 227 napkins taken, and an average of 3.78
Dispenser 2 also had the highest amount of napkins taken by one person which was ten. We concluded that this was the most used dispenser due to the fact that it was near the forks and knives. Also near the ketchup and other sauce dispensers.
This makes it more convenient for the person because most of the things that are commonly used are together and also due to the fact that the dinning room is bigger.

Dispenser 3: A total of 26 napkins, and an average of 2.16 per person.
Was the napkin dispenser near the drinks, cookies and other desserts. We thought that this had the least amount of napkins taken from it due to people only going up to get there drinks and desserts and not their main meal.

Analysis
We found that the the third dispenser was the least active, and also had the least amount of napkins taken per person. On the other hand, the 2nd dispenser had the most napkins taken, and the most per person. It was the most active area.

Comments

  1. Good analysis. I want you to dig deeper. Why do you think some stations were less busy? What was the max # napkins/person? Give us more info.

  2. I believe you were able to analyze the data easily, but it would be nice if there were some more conclusions. Like Professor Kaya, commented, why were some napkin dispensers used more than others?

  3. Do you think people were more careful with how many napkins they were taking because they saw you there? Is there a way for you to do this research more discreetly?

  4. Good ideas for analysis, another thing you could look at based on the popular seats are where the optimal places for napkin dispensers are so that 63's could be simpler to maneuver and be as effective with their products as possible.

  5. How dose your hypothetical graph to the actual data? its hard to compare numbers to graphs.

  6. Did you check to see how often people use all their napkins? I feel like that would have been useful information.

  7. Did you stop anyone from taking too many napkins?

  8. Do you think there is a specific reason that the second dispenser was used more?

    ReplyDelete
  9. did you use any napkins youself?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Which napkin dispenser was which? Where were napkin dispenser 1,2, and 3 located?

    ReplyDelete
  11. do you think if the napkin dispensers were located next to the food, people would take more napkins?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Did anyone notice you while they were taking napkins?

  13. What was your conclusion? What aspect of 63's would you change based off of the napkins?
